Updated on 10 August 2022

If the busy work week has got you down or you are just looking for fun events to enjoy your summer break, then the Selfdrive Laughter Factory is the best place for your monthly comedy fix, and the August tour is set to be a belter.

The 'Come Ride With Us' August tour will feature a hilarious lineup of stand-up comedians, made up of Ken Garr, Joe Jacobs and Allyson June Smith.

Ken Garr, the current host of 'The Kym and Ken Show', is an amazing comedian to watch as he shares stories about his life about growing up in a blue-collar family and his aspirations during his white-collar journey. He performs regularly at the World Famous Hollywood Improv and hosts the weekly Lab Works, a talent development show.

The comedian, rapper and writer Joe Jacobs, is known for incorporating hip hop with comedy. Known for headlining at many comedy clubs, at Glee, The Comedy Store, Backyard Comedy Club and more. The stand-up also releases music and is a definite must-watch for a great music and comedy set.

Lastly is Allyson June Smith, who is known for bringing great original comedy every time she performs on stage. She has gone on to be nominated multiple times for the Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand Up and uses instances from daily life in her sets, and will surely make you laugh with glee.

The tour's first two shows will be held on 19 and 20 August at Movenpick JBR followed by a show at Zabeel House Jumeirah on 24 August.

The last two shows of the tour will be held at Grand Millennium Barsha Heights on 26 August and finally on 27 August at Dukes The Palm.

Tickets are priced at Dhs 160 and are available on The Selfdrive Laughter Factory website.
