Watch The Amazing West Side Story Musical This Month!
Updated on 04 April 2023

Who does not love watching a brilliant musical unfold, especially the number one rated musical in America?

West Side Story is coming to Dubai for a six-day special!

Running from 25 to 30 April, the brilliant musical will be held at Dubai Opera.

Based on the book by Arthur Laurents, the story follows two people that are forbidden from falling in love, as they are from two rival gangs with different backgrounds, the 'Jets' and the 'Sharks'. The show explores how the two lovers try to overcome all the obstacles in their path in the Upper East Side, to be together, and is inspired by one of the biggest romantic stories, William Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'.

The entire production is directed and choreographed by Jerome Robbins, with music composed by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics arranged by Stephen Sondheim.

Running since 2003, the musical has been to 28 countries, and seen by over three million people.

Enjoy a toe-tapping spectacular with amazing mambo beats and Latin tunes that are sure to have you grooving in your seat.

Since being published as a book, as well as a musical it has also been turned into two movies, with the 2021 remake nominated for seven Oscars.

Ticket prices to the musical begin at Dhs 250 and are now available on the Dubai Opera website.
