dining tried and tested Review: Salvaje Dubai - Where Asia And Latin America Meet With Added Flair
Review: Salvaje Dubai - Where Asia And Latin America Meet With Added Flair
Updated on 01 August 2024

Among the many dining choices in Dubai, standing out is increasingly important. Whether it is for the cuisine offered or the experience diners can expect, going that bit further can make the difference.

Salvaje Dubai in Downtown Dubai, does exactly that, offering a fusion of Asian and Latin American flavours, in a stylishly decorated setting, and with vibrant entertainment, making it a standout destination in Dubai's dining scene. Nestled in the heart of Dubai, this restaurant promises an immersive dining experience that goes beyond expectations.

The choices we enjoyed from Salvaje Dubai’s menu ranged from sushi creations, including  the very tasty hamachi amarillo, with yellowtail, beetroot and a zesty ponzu, the delicious king salmon tiradito with a well balanced yuzu sauce, and the unassuming beetroot maki, each prepared with fresh ingredients and presented perfectly. As is quite often the case, the most simple dish is one of the most surprising, and it was the the same at Salvaje Dubai, where the truffle mushroom dumplings burst with flavours.

Moving away from tha Asian influence, our meal was followed by beef tacos and cauliflower bloom from the sharing menu, and from the mains, separated into Earth for meat based dishes, Sea for fish and Farm for vegetarian, we enjoyed a very tender lamb shank, which was slow-cooked to perfection, the meat falling apart at the touch of a fork, and served with a great combination of sprouts in kimchi sauce.

If the food is not standout enough, the restaurant's decor of bold colours and contemporary design is really special, and where Salvaje Dubai sets itself apart is with the regular live performances from dancers in the most eye catching headdresses, adding an energy to an intimate dining experience.

Salvaje Dubai stands out as a must-visit destination in Dubai, offering not only exceptional sushi, savory lamb shank, and stunning decor but also engaging entertainment. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast, a lover of hearty dishes like lamb shank, or looking for a vibrant dining experience with live music, Salvaje Dubai delivers a sensory journey that leaves a lasting impression.
