With Expo 2020 Dubai in full swing and welcoming visitors from all around the world, the world's largest cultural event is also now home to a multitude of dining spots. From dessert to savoury, visitors can explore a variety of cuisines from around the world, all in one place. If you are looking for some recommendations for your trip out to Expo 2020 on what to eat, here are some places to try out.

1. Alif Cafe by farm2table:

Situated at Mobility District, Alif Cafe will offer guests food brought fresh from local farms. The restaurant is a venture by Jessica Queitsch and Humaid Alremethi and will offer delicious flavours using local produce.

2. La Patisserie:

If you are looking to add a bit of sweetness to the day, La Patisserie is the place to be. Located at the Mobility District, the restaurant offers delicious croissants, chocolate cakes as well as baked bread. Pair the sweet treat with a hot cup of coffee to power you through the day.

3. Canvas by Coffee + Culture:

Unleash your inner creativity at Canvas by Coffee + Culture set up at Opportunity District. The dining spot offers visitors the opportunity to work, meet and create in a co-working space. From getting a bite to eat while working to meeting clients over a meal, it is a great spot to be productive as well as get some delicious food.

4. Tawa:

Tawa is a local bakery that offers a range of delightful Emirati baked goods that are 100% gluten-free. At the cafe, enjoy a range of pizzas, sandwiches, pasta and more. The eatery is located at Al Wasl Plaza. 

5. Alkebulan African Dining Hall:

The Alkebulan African Dining Hall is the world’s first African dining hall and will offer visitors the taste of Africa. Situated at the Oasis Food Hall, guests can delight in the dishes served by top African chefs. Delight in a variety of spots to eat at including Chroma BBQ which will offer deliciously grilled, roasted and smoked meats and Zanzibari, spiced rice with lamb, Afro Street Eatery will offer a modern take on delicious African street food with Ugandan style chapatti wrapped in beef or vegetable curry and Sweet Ophelia’s, an Afro-Asian wok bar will serve rice, noodles and dumpling dishes.

6. The Future of Food: The Epochal Banquet:

Offering a futuristic experience through food, the Future of Food: The Epochal Banquet is set in the year 2320. The two-hour-long experience will take visitors on a culinary journey inspired by space, microbiology, artificial intelligence and hyper-intelligence. The experience is located at the Opportunity District and will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence in the future. Booking for the experience is required.

7. Talabat Kitchen:

Talabat has set up a futuristic cloud kitchen, operated entirely by Talabat riders, delivery robots and robotic baristas. Get your food delivered to you from anywhere around the Expo site by Talabat riders as well as get a delightful robotic show on ordering at the dine-in at the Talabat cloud kitchen. The kitchen is located at Jubliee, Food Hall 4 on the ground floor.

8. Bread Ahead Bakery and School:

Delight in a range of doughnuts made with homemade jams and custards. The London based bakery has now made its way to Dubai and is located at the Mobility District. Individuals looking to learn how to bake from professionals can do so at the bakery school which is open five days a week. The school will offer classes in making sourdough to doughnuts.

9. Long Chim:

Located at the Mobility District, Long Chim will make its debut in Dubai. Run by Chef David Thompson, after being based in Australia, the restaurant will focus on Thai cuisine and will explore the tastes of Bangkok. 

10. Kojaki:

Kojaki at Opportunity District will offer diners an exquisite menu with a blend of Japanese and Korean cuisines. The restaurant is run by South Korean Chef Jin Chul Kim and Chef Colin Clague and will offer an exotic flavour palette, served individually as well as through sharing with dishes including fried tofu, kimpab, deep-fried baby squid and more.

11. Scarpetta Mercato:

Scarpetta Mercato has brought the first burrata bar to the UAE. Featuring at the Mobility Pavilion, the Italian restaurant will offer its signature and bold flavours through the fresh pasta made daily with locally sourced products. 

12. Adrift Burger Bar:

Adrift Burger Bar, originally from Los Angeles is now in Dubai and will offer a range of delicious and juicy burgers. The dining spot was started by Michelin star Chef David Myers. Set up at the Mobility District, enjoy sides, burgers as well as shakes at the burger bar.

13. Floozie Cookies:

Enjoy delicious vegan cookies from Floozie Cookies located at the Sustainability District. Made by Chef Kimberly Lin, the stuffed cookies come in five different flavours including Cinnamon Crunch, Chocolate Chunk and more as well as a seasonal cookie flavour that changes every month.

14. Hanon Feras Sweets:

Enjoy delicious Arabic sweets from Middle Eastern countries at Hanon Feras Sweets. Situated at the Mobility Pavilion, delight in dishes including baqlava, kunafa, ma’mool and more.

15. DA by CrabChic:

If on the lookout for some delicious seafood dishes at Expo 2020, then DA by CrabChic is the place to be. Delight in Russian seafood cuisine, which will be turned into modern art with dishes including tiger prawns, scallops, clams, oysters and more.

16. Al Baik:

After much anticipation, the Saudi Arabia based food joint has made its way to Dubai and is now also open at Expo 2020. Set up at the Opportunity District, the restaurant will offer a range of dishes from chicken, grilled, seafood and vegetarian. While at the restaurant, their famous garlic sauce is also a must-try.

17. Mudra:

Mudra by Chef Matthew Kenney will offer guests a delightful vegan menu offering dishes including pizzas and burgers to Nikkei sushi. The restaurant will be at the Sustainability District and will offer a scrumptious and sustainable take on food.

18. Ravi:

Ravi’s is a popular dining hotspot in Dubai and will now offer guests at the Expo 2020 a taste of their food. Set up at the Mobility District, the restaurant will offer diners delicious Pakistani cuisine serving dishes including curries, mutton, chicken, bread, rice and more.

19. Manaesho by Ed:

If on the hunt for delicious Lebanese or East Mediterranean food, Manaesho by Ed is a great place to visit. Serving tasty manakish, pizzas, sandwiches and more, the restaurant is located at the Opportunity District and is now one of the frequent stops for foodies in Dubai.

20. Hunter and Barrel:

Open at the Sustainability District, Hunter and Barrel is a high-end Australian restaurant. The restaurant will focus on the hunt, gather and fire concept and will offer visitors with a variety of sharing platters with charcoal-grilled meat and vegetables.
