The first edition of PopCon Middle East is set to be held this year!

The ultimate weekend dedicated to movies, television shows, comics, graphic novels, anime, cosplay and more will be held from 10 to 13 November.

Held as part of Dubai Esports Festival from 9 to 20 November, the event is held in partnership with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), Speedy Comics and Alanza Trading.

The three-day event will be held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre (DEC) at Expo City Dubai and will feature exclusive workshops, movie screenings, cosplay gaming competitions and more.

Visitors can enjoy interactive zones and activations as well as meet their favourite actors.

Katie Cassidy, known for playing Ruby in Supernatural and the Black Canary in Arrow, Supernatural's Kevin Tran, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency's Osric Chau and voice actor for DC Comics Villain, Ray Porter have been confirmed to appear at the event.

Amer Rashed Al Farooq, Deputy CEO at Speedy Comics Group said, “We are excited to introduce PopConME to Dubai. I have been a fan of comic books since I was a child and have been entrenched in the community from an early age. This is a dream come true for a true geek like me. I want this convention to have everything and more my geek heart desires.”
