The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) is set to host the Al Marmoom: Film in the Desert Festival.

The festival will be held from 9 to 11 December and will celebrate emerging filmmakers.

Held at Al Marmoon Desert, the event will highlight the location as a #DubaiDestinations nature reserve rich in local heritage and culture.

The film festival will award the top three winners and will encourage film professionals to inspire new talent.

A series of interactive workshops for children, panel discussions with experts and sessions to cultivate knowledge of film will also be held.

Additionally, entries for the film festival have been extended from 23 September to 7 October.
