The UAE is known for offering residents and tourists a wide range of events and activities to enjoy, with entertainment constantly happening on a daily basis.

With so many events always taking place things going on, it is all too easy to miss something or to double book for the same day, and can also get confusing trying to decide which ones to attend.

To make it easier for you to decide, here is a round-up of some of the major events taking place this October that you can enjoy with friends and family.

Footloose: The Musical - 5 to 8 October

Enjoy a unique take on the iconic 1980s movie, Footloose. The performance will feature sensations Jake Quickenden and Darren Day starring in the show and will include upbeat dancing and songs including 'Almost Paradise', 'Holding Out For A Hero' and more. The show is running over four days at Dubai Opera ticket prices starting at Dhs 275.

Disney On Ice - 12 to 16 October

Disney On Ice Presents Mickey and Friends is taking over Etihad Arena for four days. Brought by Feld Entertainment, the show will have beloved Disney characters, both old and new, skate away to iconic Disney tunes. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald will perform alongside Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Inside Out and Princess Power characters. Prices start at Dhs 84.

Coke Studio Live - 14 October

The 14th season of Coke Studio will be held live this month for the first time ever in Dubai at Coca Cola Arena. The popular television show is known for bringing up-and-coming artists together through the power of music. The 14th season will see performances from Ali Sethi, Shae Gill, Hassan Raheem, Justin Bibis, a sister duo of Sania Sohail and Muqadas Jandad, Faisal Kapadia, Young Stunners and Karakoram. Prices start at Dhs 179.

Travis: The Invisible Band In Concert - 17 October

The multi-Brit Award winners are ready to perform at Dubai Opera to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their third album, 'The Invisible Band'. The album, when released, spent four weeks at number one in the UK and received four times platinum status. Held for one night only, the concert will see the alternative rock group perform songs including 'Sing', 'Side' and 'Flowers in the Window'. Prices start at Dhs 240.

George Ezra - 21 October

The iconic English singer and songwriter George Ezra will be performing once again in Dubai this October at Coca Cola Arena. The 'Shotgun' singer has gone on to win a Brit Award and will perform his hit singles, 'Green Green Grass', 'Anything For You' and more from his new album, 'The Gold Rush Kid' in an electrifying show. Prices start at Dhs 225.

Piaf! Le Spectacle - 22 October

Held at Dubai Opera, Piaf! Le Spectacle will celebrate the life of Edith Piaf on the 60th anniversary of her passing. The tribute will be held for one day only and will highlight her amazing contributions to music. Visitors can enjoy listening to Broadway Entertainment Group perform her amazing releases including 'La Vie en Rose', 'Non-Je Ne Regrette Pas' and 'Mon Dieu'. Prices start at Dhs 295.

Bagong Pilipinas Tagalog Rap Festival - 23 October

Brought by MDM Global Creatives and Consultancy, Andrew E known as the 'king of Pinoy pop' is set to take to the stage at Coca Cola Arena. As part of the Tagalog Rap Festival Dubai Tour, the award-winning hip hop and rap artist will bring all the energy to the stage and performing alongside are Dongalo Wreckords artists including Jawtee, 3 Digitz, Crazzy G., Mananabaz, D.F.T., Endang and Jhoan, Bastee and Donman and Julius Tha Drummer. Global Village - 25 October

The iconic Global Village is back for season 27 from 25 October till March 2023. The one-stop entertainment destination for families is going to be even bigger and better with new pavilions and activities. Riverdance: 25th Anniversary Show - 27 to 30 October

The Grammy award-winning Irish dance group Riverdance is set to perform at Dubai Opera. Held over four days, the show is in celebration of the group's 25th anniversary. Starting at the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest, the show incorporates both Irish and international music with amazing choreography, spectacular lighting, projection and stage and costume design. Jason Derulo - 28 October

Singer and songwriter Jason Derulo is set to light up the stage of Coca Cola Arena. Brought by Full Circle in partnership with Dubai Calendar, the artist is known for his five-times-platinum single, 'Whatcha Say' as well as getting over 18.2 billion streams globally. With making waves on TikTok, the artist will perform hits including 'Savage Love', 'Lifestyle' featuring Adam Levine, 'Take You Dancing' and more. Prices start at Dhs 175.

A. R. Rahman: Live In Concert - 29 October

A. R. Rahman, one of the well-known and popular names in the music industry in India is set to perform at the end of the month at Etihad Arena. The two-time Academy Award and Grammy winner has over 100 soundtracks and albums in various languages and will perform from his lineup of amazing tracks. The concert will also use technology, visual effects and synchronised choreography for a night to remember. Prices start at Dhs 55.

Club Social Music Festival - 28 to 30 October

The third edition of the Club Social Music Festival is coming back this month at Yas Island. Held over three days, the show is brought by Brag, the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, Miral and Live Nation. On 28 October, Kaiser Chiefs and Clean Bandit will perform with Liam Gallagher taking to the stage on 29 October. The final day of the music festival on 30 October will see local talent going head to head during Club Social's Battle of the Bands. Prices start at Dhs 125.
