Be it attending a brilliant performance or visiting a fun carnival, here are some amazing events taking place around Dubai over the next few days that Discover Dubai recommends.


When 2 June

Where Bla Blah Dubai

Delight in a thrilling show by the British rock band Razorlight. The four member group will perform amazing songs from their latest album, 'Razorwhat? The Best of Razorlight'. Sing along to songs including 'America', 'In The Morning', 'Somewhere Else' and 'Wire to Wire'. Prices start at Dhs 250.



Drip Pool Party

When 2 June

Where WET Deck, W Dubai - The Palm

Enjoy a fun party under the moonlight at WET Deck, W Dubai - The Palm. The perfect event to beat the heat runs from 7pm to midnight, where visitors can take a dip in the pool, dance away to the tunes of the DJ and take in the views of the Dubai skyline. Entry and one drink is priced at Dhs 100.



Sleeping Beauty

When 2 and 3 June

Where Dubai Opera

Enjoy watching a magnificent performance over two days, by Moscow Ballet 'La Classique' with the tale of Sleeping Beauty. The performance will revolve around princess Aurora, cursed by an evil fairy, and put into a deep sleep on her 16th birthday. Prices start at Dhs 250.



The Addams Family - A New Musical

When 2 and 3 June

Where Sunmarke School, Jumeriah Village Triangle

Delight in a wonderful unique take on the well-loved movie, The Addams Family. The musical will revolves around Wednesday, who falls fo a normal boy and brings his conservative parents to meet the Addams family. Prices are set at Dhs 150.



Sunset Sessions at Koko Bay

When 2 to 4 June

Where Koko Bay, Palm West Beach

This weekend, enjoy watching the sun go down while delighting in amazing performances from a lineup of artists. On 2 June, DJ Prince and violinist Mary Ann will perform, followed by producer Walter Scalzone playing on 3 June. Mary Ann will put on a show again on 4 June. 



The Magic of Musicals

When 3 June

Where The Theatre at Mall of the Emirates

Enjoy sounds from well-loved musicals this weekend for one-day-only at The Theatre at Mall of the Emirates with 'The Magic of Musicals'. Local academy On Harmony by Tania Kassis Academy will combine Arabic and English musical hits from 'Mamma Mia', The Lion King', 'Grease' and 'West Side Story'. Prices start at Dhs 75.



ARTE, The Makers Market

When 3 June

Where Mercato Mall, Jumeirah Beach Road

If in the mood to enjoy a shopping spree this weekend, then ARTE, The Makers Market is the place to check out. The market will sell amazing pieces, where visitors can browse through handcrafted items sold by over 35 artists in Dubai. 



Jonny Rock Live

When 3 June

Where Honeycomb Hi-Fi, Pullman Dubai Downtown

Jonny Rock, the brilliant DJ and producer is performing this weekend at Honeycomb Hi-Fi. Having been in the electronic underground music scene in London for around 20 years, enjoy listening to toe-tapping music for a night to remember. 



Dubai Africa Football Cup

When 3 and 4 June

Where Dubai World Trade Centre

Held at Dubai Sports World at Dubai World Trade Centre, Anada Sports Academy will host the Dubai Africa Football Cup, where football players from 54 African countries living in Dubai will come together to win amazing cash prizes. The event is held in celebration of World Africa Day, and will also have football scouts present at the event.



Summer Carnival

When Till 11 June

Where Zone D at Gate Avenue, DIFC

Delight in a fun-filled carnival right in time for the summer at DIFC. Visitors, from 10am to 10pm, can enjoy participating in skill based games, meet and greets with characters, amazing food options and watch circus shows. Entry is free.



Dubai Sports World 

When Till 10 September

Where Dubai World Trade Centre

The summer months are here but when in Dubai, there are multiple opportunities to exercise indoors. Running for three months, enjoy nine different sporting activities with 40 different courts available at Dubai Sports World. A new gym is also available where fitness enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of classes.
