British Pop Icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor To Perform At Dubai Opera
Updated on 01 July 2024

Dubai's concert scene for 2024 continues to dazzle with another exciting addition. British pop sensation Sophie Ellis-Bextor is slated to make a jubilant return to the UAE with an exclusive one-night-only concert at Dubai Opera on Saturday, 26 October 2024. Known for her acclaimed 'locked down' weekly Kitchen Discos during the pandemic peak and the revival of her timeless 2001 hit 'Murder On The Dancefloor', Sophie Ellis-Bextor remains as popular as ever.

'Murder On The Dancefloor' saw a resurgence after its prominent feature in the critically acclaimed film ‘Saltburn’, sparking a viral dance trend on TikTok and reintroducing Sophie Ellis-Bextor's music to a new generation, propelling the song back into global charts.

And now, in a special setup for this event, Dubai Opera's stalls will transform into a fully flat dancefloor venue, offering ample space for fans of all ages to groove through the night.

Known for her distinctive voice and timeless dance-pop hits, Sophie Ellis-Bextor promises a greatest hits setlist spanning her career, from early chart-topper 'Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)' to solo hits like 'Take Me Home', 'Get Over You', 'Music Gets The Best Of Me' and, of course, 'Murder On The Dancefloor'.

Expressing her excitement, Sophie Ellis-Bextor exclaimed: "My band and I are coming for you, Dubai! Super excited. Come and dance with me. See you on the dancefloor!"

Tickets for this fun concert start from Dhs 290 and are now available on Dubai Opera's website
