Dubai World Cup To Take Place In April 2025
Updated on 22 July 2024

The esteemed Dubai World Cup, established under the visionary guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, demonstrates the Emirate's commitment to organising top-tier events that enthral global audiences. The next edition of this renowned horse racing spectacle, widely acknowledged as one of the best sporting and social gatherings in the world, is scheduled for Saturday, 5 April 2025. The Dubai World Cup will serve as the final event of an expanded 16-meeting Carnival season starting in November 2024.

Set at the iconic Meydan Racecourse, the 29th edition of racing's most spectacular event will occur a week later than usual, coinciding with a week of Eid Al Fitr celebrations throughout the UAE.

The highly anticipated new season kicks off on Friday, 8 November 2024, with the first of four major race days taking place on 'Festive Friday', 20 December. The Carnival's second major race day is the renowned 'Fashion Friday' event on 24 January 24, showcasing an impressive line-up of top-tier races and Emirates Super Saturday will take place on 1 March. The entire calendar can be viewed here

Commenting on the announcement, His Highness Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Racing Club, said, “The Dubai World Cup is one of the best-established sporting and social events of the year in Dubai. This incredible race meeting has grown year on year, since its 1996 inception, and we look forward to welcoming the best horses, jockeys, trainers and owners from around the world to Meydan Racecourse on Saturday, 5 April 2025."
