Dubai To Host Games Of The Future 2025
Updated on 25 July 2024

Dubai has been chosen as the host city for the Games of the Future 2025, announced at a prestigious ceremony in Istanbul on 24 July. Set to take place in the second half of 2025, this pinnacle event in the phygital sports (a blend of physical and digital) calendar enhances Dubai's reputation as the global epicentre for innovation, technology, and sports.

Commenting on this, His Excellency Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director-General of the General Authority of Sports, UAE said, "There can be no doubt of Dubai’s status as the world leader and a hub for the brightest and best in sports and technology. Hosting the Games of the Future 2025 next autumn will showcase Dubai’s extensive experience in delivering world-class sporting tournaments, but also send a message to the world that Dubai is dedicated to growing and building a truly global phygital community rooted in innovation and excellence."

The Games of the Future 2025 is set to showcase outstanding phygital sporting achievements. Teams worldwide are currently vying for spots through the World Phygital Community and its phygital games tournament series.

Qualifying teams can anticipate an inspiring experience at the Games of the Future 2025. Dubai recently launched the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, aimed at attracting global tech giants, digital, gaming, and experiential talent. This 10-year initiative focuses on nurturing phygital innovation and excellence, bolstering Dubai's role as a hub for phygital development beyond hosting the Games of the Future.

The event welcomes participants of all ages, genders, and nationalities without restrictions, anticipating thousands of athletes and esports professionals from around 100 countries.

More details are awaited, stay tuned!
