The Hero Dubai Desert Classic To Return For Its 36th Edition In January 2025
Updated on 07 August 2024

The Hero Dubai Desert Classic (HDDC) will mark its 36th edition from 16 to 19 January 2025 at Emirates Golf Club in Emirates Hills. As the region's longest-running golf event, this prestigious tournament is set to feature a stellar line-up of top golfers, ensuring an extraordinary experience for all attendees.

The tournament, part of the Rolex Series on the DP World Tour’s 2025 Race to Dubai, boasts a $9 million prize pool. Over four days, spectators can enjoy daily entertainment, live music, a dedicated kids' zone, and a variety of food and drink options. While general admission remains free, hospitality packages will be available for those seeking an enhanced experience.

Simon Corkill, Executive Tournament Director of Hero Dubai Desert Classic said, "We are thrilled to announce the dates for the 2025 Hero Dubai Desert Classic. The excitement surrounding next year’s event continues to build rapidly, especially after Rory McIlroy’s historic fourth win at the 35th edition earlier this year. We look forward to another spectacular tournament and can’t wait to welcome everyone to Dubai."

Founded in 1989, the Dubai Desert Classic was the first DP World Tour event in the Gulf and is the only GEO-certified golf event in the Middle East, showcasing its commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainable practices. As a prominent event on the DP World Tour and part of the Rolex Series, it has played a significant role in establishing golf in the Middle East and has been the stage for many iconic moments in the sport.

Organised by Falcon and Associates and held on the Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club, the tournament is known as the ‘Major of the Middle East’ for its prestigious history and top-tier players. Supported by Hero MotoCorp and Emirates Global Aluminium, more details on the 2025 player line-up and other exciting event announcements coming soon.
