The Laughter Factory, the UAE's longest-running comedy venue since 1997, is set to bring joy to audiences with an exceptional line-up of comedians for August. Each month, The Laughter Factory features a new trio of top professional comedians, and this August's line-up promises to tickle your funny bone.

Life is short, so choose The Laughter Factory for an evening of pure joy. Celebrate John Fothergill's 20th year with the club, praised by The Guardian as 'born onstage'. Nico Yearwood, featured in The Guardian's Top 25 stand-up specials, brings a fiery Caribbean flair to his comedy. Lastly, Miqdaad Dolawala, one of the top comedians in the Middle East, delivers a roast so intense you might need therapy, so sit early and stay near the back.

Meet The Comics

John Fothergill

Celebrating his 20th year with The Laughter Factory, John Fothergill is renowned for his consistently hilarious performances, he has performed at major comedy festivals globally, including Edinburgh Fringe, Capetown, and Melbourne, and has been a special guest for Little Britain Live and Ed Byrne’s tours. His extensive TV credits include appearances on 'Live at the Comedy Store', 'Live at Jongleurs', and Dublin's 'Laughter Lounge', showcasing his status as one of the most experienced comedians worldwide.

Nico Yearwood

Hailing from Barbados, Nico Yearwood brings a vibrant Caribbean flair to his comedy, making waves with his blend of humorous stories about island life and his experiences in the UK. Nico's laid-back style and charm have made him a standout performer on the comedy circuit, lighting up rooms with his energetic and engaging presence.

Miqdaad Dolawala

As the founder of VDesi Laughs, Miqdaad Dolawala is a prominent figure in the UAE comedy scene, known for his versatile performances in both English and Hindi. Miqdaad has performed at a range of venues, from large theatres to corporate shows, and has worked with major companies like WIPRO and Tata Consultancy. He has also appeared in the first season of Comicstaan for Amazon Prime India.
