UAE To Host Women’s T20 World Cup 2024
Updated on 22 August 2024

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will now be hosted in the UAE, moving from its original location in Bangladesh. The ninth edition of the prestigious tournament will take place from 3 to 20 October across two premier venues, Dubai and Sharjah.

While the Bangladesh Cricket Board will still be involved in hosting the event, the UAE, with its top-tier facilities and strong infrastructure, is well-prepared to step in as the new venue for this marquee event. Home to the ICC headquarters, the UAE has established itself as a key hub for international cricket, having hosted major tournaments like the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

As the UAE continues to rise in prominence within the cricket world, with both its men’s and women’s teams making strides in global rankings, the country is set to deliver a world-class experience for players and fans alike.

The Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 promises to be an exciting chapter in cricket history, showcasing the UAE’s growing influence in the sport. Stay tuned for more details.
