Although we are still four months from the new year, it seems the celebrations in Dubai have already started! How, you ask? Well, it is because Atlantis, The Palm has just announced that global music icon Lionel Richie will headline their New Year’s Eve Under the Stars Gala.

Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Lionel Richie takes the stage at Atlantis, The Palm’s New Year’s Eve Under the Stars Gala. Known for his incredible performances on the grand piano, Lionel Richie will deliver a set list of beloved hits and fan favourites as part of the 2024 gala, themed ‘Broadway.’ This year’s event promises the best entertainment and a fantastic dining experience.

Lionel Richie’s impressive career includes over 125 million albums sold worldwide, an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and four Grammy Awards. Lionel Richie has been honoured as the 2016 MusicCares Person of the Year and received the 2017 Kennedy Centre Honours. Among various other accolades, Lionel Richie is celebrated for his soulful voice and magnetic stage presence. 

At the gala, Lionel Richie will deliver a memorable performance of timeless classics such as 'Hello', 'All Night Long', 'Easy', and 'Brick House'. This exclusive show, combined with Dubai’s spectacular fireworks display stretching from Atlantis, The Palm to the ultra-luxurious Atlantis The Royal, guarantees a night to remember.

What To Expect At New Year’s Eve Under the Stars Gala

Dubbed Dubai’s most glamorous black-tie event, Atlantis, The Palm’s New Year’s Eve gala promises a Broadway-themed evening with theatrical performances, dazzling costumes, and vibrant decor. Set on a custom-built deck overlooking Palm Island and the skyline, the celebration begins at 6pm with canapés, welcome drinks, and roaming entertainment. Guests will enjoy a 30-piece live band, flowing beverages, and an extensive buffet featuring lobster, caviar, sushi, and handcrafted desserts.

New this year are 20 VIP Sky Suites offering premium views, private butlers, and dining from top brands like Nobu and Hakkasan, plus a selection of fine Champagne. Children will have their party in the Asateer Tent with a slide, bouncy castle, and more.
