One month into 2022, and we have already witnessed the opening something new and unique in Dubai, setting high expectations for more great things still to come, and as we continue into month two we already know of at least one new iconic opening to look forward to. Dubai is always bursting with ideas and launching new developments, and as a string as 2022 has already started, it certainly isn't ready to stop. Here is a look at some of the major developments that have already opened this year as well as ones that are set to open within the year.

Legoland Hotel - Now Open

Legoland Hotel has now opened its doors to the public and is the first Legoland Hotel in the GCC. The hotel has over 250 lego themed rooms, a disco elevator as well as a castle play area and will add to the other Legoland themed locations in Dubai with Legoland Dubai and Legoland Waterpark.

Museum of the Future - Opening In February

With one of the most stunning and futuristic pieces of architecture in Dubai, the Museum of the Future is set to open its doors to the public on 22 February. Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, the museum will offer visitors a journey into life in 2071 and to make the museum even more special is the ability for visitors to reimagine the future by making a change in the present. 

The Royal Atlantis Hotel - Opening This Year

Whether you are looking for a luxurious staycation or a holiday, The Royal Atlantis Hotel will be the place to be for a well-deserved break. Opening this year, the hotel is located right next to Atlantis The Palm and will offer exquisite fine dining with celebrity chefs like Heston Blumenthal, be home to four aquariums as well as a large jellyfish tank, and will feature 90 swimming pools and an infinity pool above the Palm.

W Hotel Mina Seyahi - Opening This Year

Adding to the captivating view of the Dubai Marina, W Hotel Mina Seyahi is set to open this year and will offer 318 guest rooms, 26 suites and a presidential suite. Putting a unique spin on the hotel, the lobby will be replaced with an area for guests to interact with one another, enjoy the view as well as delight in some snacks. 

Dubai Hills Mall - Opening This Year

The Dubai Hills Mall will be a one-stop-shop for all things leisure, entertainment and shopping and is set to open in 2022. Situated at Dubai Hills Estate, the development by Emaar Malls will have space for over 750 retail and dining outlets. The mall will also offer a 17 screen cinema complex and an outdoor concert area.
