Hatta Honey Festival: Everything To Know About This Five-Day Festival
Updated on 28 December 2023

The Hatta Honey Festival is back for its eighth edition, running until 31 December. Launched by Dubai Municipality, the five-day festival supports the beekeeping industry in Dubai and the UAE. Approximately 60 Emirati beekeepers will showcase their products, providing visitors and tourists with the chance to explore various honey varieties, understand their distinct qualities, and learn how to differentiate them. This edition is part of the inaugural Hatta Festival, offering an educational and enjoyable experience for attendees.

Here's Everything To Expect at Hatta Honey Festival

The Hatta Honey Festival will welcome the public at Dubai Municipality’s Hatta Hall from 10am to 10pm. Visitors can engage in various activities, including workshops on creating recipes using honey, honey soap-making, and honey candle-making.

Additionally, there will be an art workshop for children to draw on fabrics, along with sessions highlighting honey packaging.

The festival will feature recreational performances, including competitions based on Arab and cartoon figures from the ‘Freej’ TV show, a performance by the Emirati traditional dance group ‘Liwa', and dedicated spaces for children’s games and activities.

Lab Services At Hatta Festival

The Hatta Honey Festival will offer support to beekeepers in the region by providing facilities and services. The Dubai Central Laboratory services will conduct instant laboratory testing of honey samples for exhibitors and visitors to confirm quality and adherence to approved standards. The laboratory will also inspect honey products on display, examining factors such as the ratio of total sugars, glucose, sucrose, fructose, and Hydroxymethylfurfural.
