Dubai Opera Announces Amazing Lineup

Dubai Opera, the popular performing arts destination, has announced an amazing lineup of events.

Over 13 performances from around the world will be held from September until November.

From opera shows, jazz concerts, musicals and pop concerts, there will be something available for every taste.

The greatest love story of all time, Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, in the form of a captivating ballet performance, will be held from 9 to 11 September.

The show will feature music by the renowned composer Sergi Prokofiev.

The well loved opera, La Traviata, by Giuseppe Verdi that depicts one of the most beautiful and compelling stories about courtesan Violetta scarifies all for love, will be held on 13 and 14 September.

Delight in a great pop concert on 17 September with French Canadian singer and songwriter, Margaux Sauvé as she performs her debut album, 'Heaven, Wait'. 

A tribute will be held for the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, for the first time on 23 and 24 September. A great homage to the legend, the show will feature stunning costumes, music and choreography.

On 1 October, step into the world of jazz where the Dubai Opera Big Band will play amazing renditions from iconic artists including Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone, and Nat King Cole.

The iconic Footloose musical will also be making its way to Dubai. Held from 5 to 8 October, attendees can enjoy a live take of the 80s classic.

After an amazing performance at Expo 2020 Dubai, the Syrian music composer, songwriter and producer, Iyad Rimawi along with an orchestra will put on a great show on 15 October.

On 17 October, the pop and rock band, Travis, will be celebrating their four time platinum album 'Invisible Band' turning 20 with an iconic performance.

The Grammy award-winning and viral Irish dance group, Riverdance will be performing on 27 to 30 October. Held as part of their 25th anniversary show, the performance will be captivating, focusing on the power of dance and music.

Watch Peter Bence, the well-known piano sensation, composer and music producer, play a wide range of classic and contemporary hits on 11 November.

Known for performing in Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Greek, English, Armenian and Yiddish, the music legend Enrico Macias, will be performing on 12 November. 

On 15 November, the Dresden Opera Ball will be held, known for showcasing classical music and worldly culture. Running for 15 years, the ball aims at encouraging unity among cultures of the world through a combination of music and dance.

Named by NBC as the world's greatest illusionist, Rob Lake is set to stun the crowd with his amazing illusions. The shows will be held for three days, from 25 to 27 November.

Ticket prices for the shows vary and start at Dhs 175.
