After the six-day long break last month, people in the UAE are in for a treat as another three-day long holiday this weekend is upon us.

Isthmus - Lamya Gargash Exhibition

Enjoy exploring amazing art pieces as part of the Isthmus exhibition by Emirati artist Lamya Gargash. Curated by Sophie Mayuko Arni, the exhibition shares the experiences of people from around the world, through still-life photography of objects and items. 



Van Gogh X Japan

Where Theatre of Digital Art, Souk Madinat Jumeirah

Delight in a one-of-a-kind immersive experience at Theatre of Digital Art. Marvel in stunning pieces by Van Gogh that incorporate Western and Eastern traditions, through Ukiyo-e, a genre of Japanese art. Visitors can also enjoy amazing ikebana masterclasses and tea ceremonies. Prices are set at Dhs 110 per person.

The lineup for the month features Adam Bloom, Red Richardson and Michael Fabbri, and their comedy sets will have everyone reminiscing and laughing for days. Prices are set at Dhs 160.

Beat The Heat: Cairokee and El Far3i Live

As part of Dubai Summer Surprises, Arab artists Cairokee and El Far3i are set to put on an amazing show. Egyptian rock band Cairokee, has been in the music industry since 2003, releasing hits including 'Ana Negm' and 'Layla'. Performing alongside Cairokee is Palestinian-Jordanian musician El Far3i, singing a range of Arabic acoustic music and rap. Ticket prices start at Dhs 265.



Mean Streets

When 22 July

Where Cinema Akil

Delight in watching the 1973 crime drama, Mean Streets, starring Robert De Niro and Harvey Keitel. The story follows Charlie Cappa, who is working to make his way up the ranks of a local mob. Things turn when his friend Johnny, a gambler without work, enlists his help to escape debt from a loan shark.



Live Boxing

When 22 July

Where Sound Stage 3, Dubai Studio City 

Held for the first time in the UAE, watch two amazing boxing matches take place. The boxing night will see British fighter Jazza Dickens defend his IBO world featherweight championship while going up against Argentinian Hector Andres Sosa. The other match will see Pakistani boxer Muhammad Waseem fighting Filipino boxer Donnie Nietes, a former world champion across four different weights. Prices start at Dhs 75.
