The weekend is almost here and it is the first weekend of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

With restaurants around Dubai as well as homes dedicating this month to togetherness and family, nothing is better than spending some quality time over this weekend with loved ones.

This joyous time should be spent doing joyful things, and Dubai once again does not let down this weekend, with a variety of events for all to enjoy. Be it attending a comedy show to visiting a Ramadan Market, here are some things to do this weekend.

Qanun: Revival

Where Theatre of Digital Art

The youngest player of the Firdaus Orchestra, Lara Zaid, is set to put on a spectacular show, playing the soothing tunes on the Qanun. The instrument can be traced to the Old Assyrian Empire and is rooted in Middle Eastern tradition. The performance held during the Holy Month of Ramadan will make the show all the more magical. Global Village, the one-stop destination for family entertainment, is bringing all the fun for the Holy Month of Ramadan. Delight in shopping from multiple pavilions, Ramadan performances, a 30-piece orchestra playing and a light show. Entry tickets are priced at Dhs 15 when bought online and Dhs 20 at the gate, with the park will be open from 6pm to 2am during Ramadan.

Where Expo City Dubai

Make the Holy Month of Ramadan a special one with amazing activations at Expo City Dubai. Visitors can enjoy storytellers narrating folk tales and stories on cultures, religion and morality, shows at Al Wasl Plaza from mascots Rashid and Latifa, workshops and games. Entry is free and timing during Ramadan, running from 5pm to 2am.
