Dubai To Abu Dhabi Flying Taxis To Begin Operations From 2025
Updated on 13 March 2024

If you live in Dubai and love visiting Abu Dhabi but are tired of traffic and can't do road trips, how about flying to Abu Dhabi in a flying car? Sounds futuristic and dreamy, right? Well, this dream is soon becoming a reality because Archer, a leader in electric flying cars and UAE-based Falcon Aviation are partnering to build a vertiport network (a system of designated locations for take-off and landing of vertical take-off and landing aircraft, such as flying cars or air taxis) in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. It will allow flights between the two cities using Archer's Midnight flying car. This development is a significant step for Archer's plans to launch across the Emirates in both cities as early as 2025.

Time To Be Reduced To 30 Minutes

In this collaboration, Archer and Falcon Aviation will begin by building modern vertiport facilities at Falcon Heliport at Atlantis the Palm in Dubai, and the Marina Mall heliport in Abu Dhabi's Corniche. Travelling between these two cities in heavy traffic can take over 2 hours. Archer and Falcon Aviation aim to provide passenger service using Archer's Midnight flying car between these Falcon vertiports. These flights will mostly fly over water, offering scenic views of both cities and take only around 30 minutes from departure to arrival.

Commenting on this association, Archer founder and CEO Adam Goldstein said, "Partnering with established operators such as Falcon Aviation, as well as the capital of the Emirates with the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, has been key to quickly building our presence in the region. We look forward to paving the way for the introduction of our Midnight aircraft to the region which will set the stage for the UAE to become a global leader in urban air mobility."

Falcon Aviation CEO Captain Ramandeep Oberoi commented, “For nearly two decades, Falcon Aviation has been at the forefront of helicopter passenger transport in the UAE. Our partnership with Archer is a leap into the future, as we prepare to offer flying car services together in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, continuing our tradition of world-class transportation solutions."
